Military reunions are just the absolute best! When a family member or loved one has been gone for so long fighting for their country, it is such a joyous thing to be reunited.
Ten-year-old Cheyanna knows this first hand. Her brother, Sgt. Brandon Prelesnik, had been serving in Japan and Korea for seven months with the Marines and she missed him greatly.
The 4th-grader wrote a letter to her brother asking him to come home and surprise her at school. She even gave him her teacher’s name and classroom number so he would know right where to find her!
At first Brandon didn’t think he would be able to come home before Cheyanna got out of school, but when he found out he would be able to return sooner than expected he decided to grant his little sister’s wish and surprise her.
As the students prepared for their final day of school, Brandon walked up behind Cheyanna and put his arms around her.
