He Starts Playing Song In Coffee Shop, Has No Idea Who’s Standing Right In Front Of Him…

It’s the kind of thing that most singers can only dream of – getting to perform with one of their idols – but when one musician got that opportunity recently, he didn’t even realize it was happening!

Kekoa Alama was performing in a coffee shop in Maui when he started to sing “One Day” by Jewish reggae singer Matisyahu. As he sang, a man standing to the side of the room started singing along with him.

Alama continued singing, probably wondering who this other guy was but assuming he was just someone who really liked the song.

When he finished singing he walked up to the man and shook his hand, telling him, “You have a beautiful voice, man.”

That’s when the man identified himself – it was Matisyahu!

Alama can be forgiven for not recognizing the famous singer who has changed up his look over the years and, with his long hair under a baseball cap, plaid shirt, and board shorts, looked quite different than his fans are used to seeing him.

One thing’s for sure: that moment is one the young singer will carry with him for the rest of his life!
