Beth Chapman, wife of Dog the Bounty Hunter, isn’t letting cancer keep her from enjoying special holiday traditions with her family. She posted a photo on Instagram yesterday of her and Dog, with a caption that read:

Family Tradition
Theater with the kids for Christmas .. And Churchill’s for dinner ???

Last year, Beth was diagnosed with stage II throat cancer, and two months later she was cancer-free. However, on November 26th this year, she was rushed to the emergency room, where she discovered the cancer had returned. It was a dangerous situation. A throat blockage was obstructing the airways in her throat.

Dog, 61, explained this to Us Weekly.

“They say the cancer follows the path of least resistance, so it goes downward. Half of her lung was full of water. She’s much more comfortable now [that] she can breathe, but she just wanted to come back to Colorado, she loves it here.”

All Beth could think about was being home with her family.

“They told us they didn’t want her to leave the hospital, but she was adamant, she just wanted to be home,” he said.

Beth and Dog have been together for nearly 30 years. They married in 2006 after being together for 16 years. Dog is devastated.

“When we made a pledge many years ago, I said I’d love her in sickness and in health until death do us part,” he said. “And that truth has really, really come alive in my mind. And I have to stand on that; I gave her an oath that I would love her forever. And thank God it’s not till death do us part at this point.”

Sweet Beth will be in our thoughts as we celebrate the holiday season. We hope she has a joyous one with her family.
