A video of a group of  U.S.  Marines in Camp Pendleton in Southern California singing the gospel song “These Are The Days of Elijah” has recently resurfaced and it’s gone viral.

This song is a moving spiritual anthem that likely rings true to brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to their countries. One line of the verse says:

Still, we are the voice in the desert crying…

Who would know better the struggle of fighting for their country and their God better than these courageous soldiers?

Here are the lyrics to the song they’re singing.

These are the days of Elijah,
Declaring the word of the Lord
And these are the days of Your servant Moses,
Righteousness being restored.
And though these are days of great trial,
Of famine and darkness and sword,
Still, we are the voice in the desert crying
“Prepare ye the way of the Lord!”
Behold He comes riding on the clouds,
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call,
Lift your voice, it’s the year of jubilee,
And out of Zion’s hill salvation comes.
These are the days of Ezekiel,
The dry bones becoming as flesh,
And these are the days of Your servant David,
Rebuilding a temple of praise.
These are the days of the harvest,
The fields are as white in Your world,
And we are the labourers in Your vineyard,
Declaring the word of the Lord!
Behold He comes riding on the clouds,
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call,
Lift your voice, it’s the year of jubilee,
And out of Zion’s hill salvation comes.

The lyrics continue:

Behold He comes riding on the clouds,
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call,
Lift your voice, it’s the year of jubilee,
And out of Zion’s hill salvation comes.
Behold He comes riding on the clouds,
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call,
Lift your voice, it’s the year of jubilee,
And out of Zion’s hill salvation comes.
Lift your voice, it’s the year of jubilee,
And out of Zion’s hill salvation comes.

People from all over the globe, regardless of whether or not they’re believers, have been moved by the love and faith of these brave young people.

One of the original videos was shared by a woman named Merrie K. Baldwin, who said:

“Tonight was amazing! Music was led by Rick Founds who wrote ‘Lord I Lift Your Name On High.’ What a way to spend Mother’s Day loving on these brave young men who love the Lord. My hope is renewed.”

We agree.
