Being a good father is a choice – and Andre Palmer has made is choice loud and clear. After finishing his usual late shift and dropping his daughter off at daycare, Andre rushed to the nearby hospital to be the support system his little boy and wife needed more than anything.
When Andre entered the hospital room where his baby boy was receiving treatment, he saw his wife, Amy, asleep in the comfortable reclining chair and his son fast asleep in his crib. Instead of asking his wife to move or requesting another recliner from staff, which was sure to wake the entire family up, Andre cuddled up somewhere interesting.
When Amy awoke, she looked down to find her loving husband curled up on the cold tile under her son’s hospital crib. She quickly snapped a picture and posted it to her Facebook page.
“This is a picture of a hard-working man dedicated to his family! After working all night [on the] third shift, he’s right here with his son who is in the hospital. He’s so tired, but he’s here! Father-of-the-Year award goes to Andre Palmer! I love you more than words, baby.”
Andre is clearly a great father and loving husband – this picture only solidifies that!
