I remember when I first heard the news that I was going to get a younger sister. I honestly didn’t know what to make of it. I’d been an only child for nearly four years.
After the birth of my younger sister, though, I soon realized how beautiful having a sibling would be.
Some older siblings have difficulty adjusting to a new addition to their family. They might be of an age where they don’t understand what having a younger brother or sister means. Why does this baby cry all the time? Why does it sleep so much? When will it play with me?
Mom and dad give the baby so much attention and time, the older child may have feelings of jealousy or neglect because they aren’t receiving all of their parents’ focus.
The little boy in this video apparently didn’t have any problems at all when his little sister arrived. As he gazed into her eyes, he became inspired to sing this beautiful song to her.

He wraps his small arms gently around the baby as she rests propped up on a pillow on his lap. When he starts to sing with such sincerity Joe Crocker’s song “You Are So Beautiful,” your heart can’t help but melt.
This is a video their mother can show them when the two siblings grow older to remind them of how much they do love each other. She can pull it up when they face those challenging moments siblings often do to help them forget their squabbles.
