American actress and comedienne Lucille Ball changed the face of television forever when she first entered our homes with her wildly popular show in the early 1950s. Just like the title of the show said – we all loved Lucy.

Saturday marks what would have been the beloved actress’s 105th birthday, and to celebrate she’s getting a new statue!

A statue was erected in the middle of Lucille Ball Memorial Park in her hometown of Celoron, New York, but many deemed it “scary” and “horrible” and said it didn’t capture Lucy at all.

Now a new statue by sculptor Carolyn Palmer has been erected in its place, and we think this one does a much better job of capturing the beauty and spirit of America’s famous redhead!
