Paul Smith, born with severe cerebral palsy, grew up at a time when people with the disorder were cast off from society. They weren’t taught to read or write, and nothing great was ever expected of them.

Doctors told Paul’s parents that he wouldn’t live long, but he proved them wrong on all accounts. He lived to be 85 and left an incredible mark on the world before he died.

Paul figured out a way to make art with a typewriter. The painstaking process involves hitting one key at a time to make a mark on the page, and the end result is breathtaking.

Paul’s life is a great reminder to not put limits on people. When you allow them to be free to follow their dreams, you just never know what might happen!
