It’s every parent’s worst nightmare – going out to look for your child and realizing they’ve been taken. Nothing can prepare you for the panic, fear, guilt, and 5,000 other emotions that race through you as you desperately try to find your child.

Five-year-old Jocelyn Rojas’ family knows this firsthand, but thankfully their story actually has a happy ending.

Jocelyn was playing in her front yard when a man lured her into his car by offering her ice cream.

Thankfully, her family quickly noticed she was gone and immediately alerted police, who then shut down streets, brought out the K-9 unit, and started going door to door with a picture of Jocelyn to see if anyone had seen her.

Temar Boggs and his friend Chris decided to go looking for her. As they were out riding their bikes, they saw Jocelyn’s face in a passing car’s window.

They immediately gave chase, pedaling as fast as they could to keep up with the car. Temar said the car kept turning around, but they didn’t stop following, chasing the car for 15 minutes.

Finally, the car stopped and Jocelyn got out. She ran to the teens and told them she needed her mom.

Police aren’t sure why the man let Jocelyn out, but they suspect he saw the boys giving chase and got scared.

Jocelyn’s story could have ended so differently, but thanks to these two teen heroes she is home with her family safe and sound.
