There are few things in the world much cuter than sloths. These sleepy-eyed, slow-moving creatures are a curiosity, but one thing is for sure – they are adorable!

Sloths are very dependent on their mothers when they are young to teach them the necessary life skills to survive in the wild. When a mother sloth is killed, captured, or disappears, the baby sloth is unable to fend for itself in the wild.

That’s where the Sloth Sanctuary in Costa Rica comes in. They rescue these baby sloths (along with others that may be sick or injured), rehabilitate them, and then release them back into the wild.

They also work closely with the Costa Rican government to protect the rainforests so these sloths will continue to have a home to return to.

While the workers at the sanctuary must get a lot of satisfaction and fulfillment out of their jobs, one of the best parts of working there has to be getting to hang out with sloths all day!

Just check out this chatty pair of baby sloths hanging around at the sanctuary! Watching these two makes me want to book a trip to Costa Rica right now!

Did you find these baby sloths as adorable as we did? So share this!
